The whole work is divided into four interrelated chapters. The introductory chapter: will introduce the learning situation of the case under study, analyses students’ profile and needs and describe the research tools for the data collection. Chapter two: will describe the main approaches to foreign literature teaching, define the term literature and introduce the process of writing literary interpretation, its deficits and what is needed to be accomplished. Chapter three will analyze the students’ exams sheets to find out which kind of errors prevent them from communicating effectively their ideas both at the level of form and content of language. This chapter will also analyze the data collected from interviewing students concerning their perception of their writing ability about literature during exams. Finally, chapter four will suggest a way of teaching British Literature which aims to develop students’ fluency and self-efficacy in writing their literary responses.
